HR Advisor, Tropicana
Tracy Kalinowsky joined Macmahon as a HR Advisor back in March 2018 at the Tropicana Gold Mine with previous FIFO contract experience in Darwin, the Pilbara, and in Queensland. Tracy now lives in Mandurah and enjoys working a 4:3 FIFO roster.
The 4:3 roster works well for Tracy providing her with real work life balance. “I have ample time over my three days off to be able to meet my family and social commitments. I get to enjoy a long weekend, every weekend,” Tracy said.
According to Tracy the best thing about working at Tropicana is the daily challenges and the fact that her role is not the same day in day out. “There are a variety of areas that I work across and I am able to coach and support supervisors, managers and employees within the business.”
As a seasoned HR mining professional Tracy still benefits from learning onsite through her mentor, HR Superintendent, Victoria Tice. “Victoria is really knowledgeable on employment law and I learn something new from her every day” said Tracy.
Outside of work, Tracy enjoys all sport but has a particular interest in AFL and barracks for the Essendon Football Club. Tracy’s interest in sports began from her childhood as her parents managed indoor sports complexes from the age of seven. Hence, Tracy has grown up playing Indoor Cricket, Indoor Netball, Indoor Tennis, Indoor Touch Rugby, Indoor Soccer and Indoor Beach Volleyball. Representing both Queensland and Western Australia at the Indoor Beach Volleyball Nationals that were held in Darwin and Brisbane when she was in her early to late 20’s and early 30’s.
Tracy also loves to socialise with friends and with her family friendly roster, travels overseas at least twice a year.
